We are proud to announce that Locally Grown Inc., under the fiscal sponsorship of Tampa Urban Benefits Farms (TUB Farms), has been awarded a 2022 USDA Farm to School Grant. During the upcoming school year, we will build a team in Hillsborough County focused on building a resilient and equitable local food system and develop a shared vision for farm to school. The planning process will identify opportunities to connect the Student Nutrition Services Department for Hillsborough County Public Schools and students to the local food system, streamline local food procurement processes, and provide education and action opportunities for students to learn about food and farming.
