Our Newest Project! Local Food For Schools

Bringing Florida Food to Florida Kids

We are excited to announce our involvement with our first state-wide project! The Florida School Nutrition Association (FSNA) was awarded a $6.5 million cooperative agreement from the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS) to expand the farm to school program in 13 counties. Project partners include nonprofits Locally Grown, Florida Impact and No Kid Hungry. As a team we will work with farmers and producers that have experienced racism and discrimination to bring more local food to school meals in  rural communities that have been historically underserved. These investments will enhance the school food supply chain providing opportunities for small, local farmers and producers to sell to schools and make school meals more local, more fresh and more delicious
